Human beings have become extra-terrestrials on the very planet they have originated from.
They have evolved into creatures that are inadequate in either their own man-made world or in the natural world from which they sprang.
This inability to fit in becomes even more apparent when human beings are devoid of their protective layer of clothing. Stark naked, people become increasingly conscious of their own awkwardness of being neither completely civilized nor completely natural.
This sense of awkwardness is yet exacerbated within a beach setting, a border zone where synthetic society meets raw wilderness and where up-to-the-minute present meets the distant past.
